The main purpose of Energy and Technology Museum is to collect, preserve, restore, research, exhibit and promote the history of energy and technology in Lithuania. The museum:

• Works in research and education;
• Organizes expositions, exhibitions, guided tours, educations, lectures and publications;
• Organizes creative leisure and cultural events;
• Maintains contacts with similar organizations in Lithuania and other countries.
