Weekend at ETM

Weekend at ETM – quality time in the world of science, where the most interesting activities are revealed to the most curious museum visitors. On Saturdays and Sundays immerse yourself in:

◾ Guided tours in the Transformation Hall – walk through an interactive exhibition about the human relationship with energy. At the centre of the exhibition, in the Faraday Cage, are two of the largest Tesla coils in the Baltic region. During the Tesla Show, you will learn about the achievements and biographical highlights of Nikola Tesla, the famous Serbian inventor and engineer.  The museum’s educational guide will demonstrate one small and two large Teslas, play with lightning bolts and even offer visitors the chance to try out the instrument. – At 10.15, 11.45 AM, 1.30, 3 and 4.45 PM.

Transformation Hall

◾ Guided tours in the interactive exhibition “The Machines of Leonardo da Vinci”. Join the ETM guide for guided tours to learn more about one of the greatest minds in the history of mankind – Leonardo da Vinci and his inventions. You can also see reproductions of some of da Vinci’s most famous works, including the “Mona Lisa”, “The Saviour of the World” and “The Last Supper”. – Saturdays at 11 AM and 5 PM in Lithuanian, 1.30 PM in Russian and 2.30 PM in English. Sundays at 11 AM in Lithuanian, 1.30 PM in Russian and 2.30 PM in English.

◾ Scientific experiments. During the Curie Workshop you will have the opportunity to learn about the properties of chemical elements and the fascinating science of materials. The workshop is designed for families and anyone interested in the fascinating world of chemistry. In Newton’s Workshop, you’ll learn about the types of energy and Newton’s laws, create a real fire tornado and safely pass electricity through your body. – At 10.30 AM, 12.30, 2.30, 4.30 and 5.30 PM.

Guided tours of Transformation Hall and the exhibition “The Machines of Leonardo da Vinci” are available at the ticket price. The price includes a museum visitor’s ticket +3,50 Eur/person.

Scientific experiments and education programs – for the museum ticket price +2 Eur/person.

Museum is open from 10 AM to 6.30 PM.
